Are we there yet?
07.14.05 (5:10 am) [edit]
:) Things w/ the move are going good...aside from an air conditioner leak that soaked the carpet and blistering heat that nearly caused us to expire while toting boxes. Fortunately the soaked carpet did no damage, can we have a hurrah that we hadn't moved our furniture yet! Just a few soggy boxes. And the heat is just something to deal w/ this time of year. Luckily we got move all of our stuff moved, except the big furniture and we will be inside doing some "accent" painting this weekend. :)
I haven't loads of time for stitching but I did manage to finish Glory and start a new project! Glory looks great but it may be a while before I can do a nice finish for it.

You can see a larger image of it by going here http://www.angelfire.com/art2... and clicking on the smaller image. I love the colors for this and if I hadn't been distracted it wouldn't have taken any time at all to stitch. :)
I just started the Marriage Tree by Raise the Roof Designs. This is a fun project and very colorful. I picked a nice piece of hand dyed fabric for it and so far am loving how it's going. Very easy to stitch, just big.

Greg is in stitching hiatus for right now...I think he's just worn out poor man. But he has hinted that he's going to stitch a Calla Lily pic for me next! I love Calla Lilies! :)
Hope everyone is surviving the heat!

It's That Time Again...
07.06.05 (10:34 am) [edit]
the Tour de France is rolling again! I love watching the Tour and it seems to get me stitching like mad! I am nearly finished w/ my flag and I thought I might not get done till after the move! :)

It looks good, love the colors! But I'm excited to start my next project. :)
Greg finished the Educated project, looks fantastic. Haven't framed it yet, but hope to have time sometime soon.

This is just so adorable, wait till you see it framed!
Now he's working on a clock project. And at first I thought it sounded weird, what w/ the colors he was describing, but now it's coming together and it looks pretty cool!

He's using Confetti for the outline and I love this color it's so pretty. You will have to wait to see what he's doing w/ the rest (heh, heh) but it's gonna be interesting. Then he's going to turn the whole thing into a clock!
We pick up our new apartment keys tomorrow so from then on it's moving, moving, moving! :)

More Progress!
07.01.05 (5:53 am) [edit]
I am making good progress on the flag, although it won't be done for Indenpendence day, it won't be that far behind. :) Then it will have to wait around until I get time to make it into a pillow.

Greg is making speedy progress on his cat! He's nearly done! It is such a fun project and so adorable. We have the perfect frame for it as well..

It's a 3 day weekend (Monday off) so we are going to go try to have some fun! Happy 4th everybody!
